    J. Campbell & Associates Ltd., Licensed Insolvency Trustee

    Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains how J. Campbell & Associates Ltd. ("JCA", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use assessment.debthelp-jca.com or options.debthelp-jca.com (the "Pages"). We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

    What we collect

    Information you give us.

When you complete the free assessment, we collect:

    • your first and last name
    • your phone number
    • your email address
    • the approximate amount of debt you selected
    • your confirmation that you live in Ontario

    Information collected automatically.

Like most websites, the Pages collect technical information:

    • your IP address
    • browser and device type
    • pages viewed
    • the ad or link that brought you here
    • the date and time of your visit

We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel.

We don't ask for your SIN, banking details or credit report on these Pages, and we don't run a credit check.

    Why we collect it

    We use your information to:

    • contact you by phone, text or email about your enquiry
    • review your situation and explain your debt options
    • book and hold a free, confidential consultation if you want one
    • keep a record of your enquiry
    • measure and improve our advertising and the Pages
    • meet our legal and professional obligations as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee

We don't sell your personal information.

    Your consent

By submitting the form, you agree to be contacted by J. Campbell & Associates Ltd. by phone, text or email about your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent at any time:

    • reply STOP to a text
    • use the unsubscribe link in an email
    • contact us using the details below

Submitting the form does not commit you to anything. Nothing is filed unless you decide to proceed and sign the required documents.

    Who we share it with

We share your information only with service providers who help us respond to your enquiry and run the Pages, and only as much as they need:

    • our client management system (Zoho CRM)
    • Google Workspace, which we use for internal records and email
    • our website and form hosting providers
    • our digital marketing agency
    • team members who contact you on our behalf to arrange your consultation

These providers must keep your information confidential and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as to comply with a court order or a request from a regulator.

    Advertising and cookies

We use the Meta Pixel and similar tools to see which ads lead to enquiries, so we can spend our advertising budget responsibly. When you submit the form, a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address or phone number may be sent to Meta so it can match the visit to an ad.

We never send your debt amount or any other financial details to Meta or any other advertising platform.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Blocking cookies won't stop the form from working.

    Storage outside Canada

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and India. While your information is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Canadian law.

    How long we keep it

If you don't become a client, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete it. If you become a client, your file is kept for the periods required by the rules that govern Licensed Insolvency Trustees.

    How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information. Access is limited to the people who need it to help you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.

    Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to be contacted. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

    Age

These Pages are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
